byron bay lighthouse, drawn in piluso blue

home gave us the inspiration.

byron bay gave us the courage to build it.

the name

/pi·LU·so/ n.

Argentine, colloquial. piluso means bucket hat.

the sol de mayo, embroidered on the cacao cap

the sun

the same sun that's on our flag.

when we won the world cup in 2022, so many of us wore it on our skin.

this is another way to carry it.

piluso isn't perfect. but it's real.

the making

everyone sees the launch.

very few people see the late nights, the doubts, the mistakes, the spreadsheets, the samples that didn't work — or the moments you wonder if any of it will pay off.

building piluso has taught us far more than how to create a cap. it has taught us resilience, patience, and the courage to keep showing up — even when nobody is watching.

should we keep going?

should we start over?

should we let the idea go?

we're so glad we didn't.

we got quite excited when the first batch arrived on time. and on time for the semifinals. we had the best launch we could ever imagine.
